Robbie Williams' concert follows a showstopping performance by his former Take That bandmates this year.

Having previously played the festival in 2019, Williams said: "It’s an honour to be back here to headline BST Hyde Park. I can’t wait to see you all there."

He is the second headliner to be announced for 2024, following the news that Andrea Bocelli will perform on July 5.

But he grew dissatisfied with the lifestyle and musical direction, and left the group in 1995 (though briefly rejoining in 2010).

His debut solo album in 1997, Life Thru a Lens, secured his star status with the singles Angels and Let Me Entertain You. He went on to sell tens of millions of records around the world.

In 2022, Williams released XXV, a hit-packed album celebrating his 25 years as a solo artist.

This year he made headlines once again with a Netflix documentary series about his life and career.
