Salt Bae is hiring chefs at his London restaurant for £12-an-hour - the same as the price of mashed potatoes
Despite leaving customers with bills of up to £37,000, a job advert for chefs at Salt Bae’s London restaurant pays just £12-an-hour - the same price as a serving of mashed potato.
Turkish butcher Nusret Gökçe - better known as Salt Bae - recently launched an eatery in the capital called Nusr-Et, which has hit headlines for its staggering prices.

The London outlet, situated in Knightsbridge, is in search of a chef de partie to join the team, a role which involves working in one area of the kitchen.
A successful applicant will find themselves working alongside and leading a number of cooks and assistants.
The advert reads that the lucky chef "will be working with some of the finest ingredients from the UK and abroad in one of the most famous steakhouses in the world".

This means a worker would have to graft 121 hours in order to indulge in the restaurant’s £1,450 giant golden tomahawk steak, and as much as 52 hours for the £630 regular sized meats.
The vacancy, which can be found on Caterer.com, boasts that the job is an “amazing opportunity for an experienced chef de partie to join the Nusr-Et team in the new restaurant in London”.
"You will play a vital part in a large team and will support the head chef during service,” the advert said.

Salt Bae has already experienced a number of issues since he opened the new London restaurant in September, including hosting a three-day hiring event that no one reportedly turned up to.
But it has not had any issues filling up seats and has been a hub for sports celebrities such as former-Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and ex-footballer Wayne Rooney.

“The whole experience was shocking!”
