The Olympic Games Paris 2024 will begin on Friday July 26 and finish on Sunday August 11.
10,714 athletes from 206 nations will participate in the games, which will incorporate 329 events across 32 sports.
Paris will become the second city ever to host the Summer Olympics three times, after London which hosted the games in 1908, 1948 and most recently in 2012.
The 2012 London Olympics took place in a number of sporting venues across the capital including the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, which was built specifically for the event.
The opening ceremony, directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle, received widespread acclaim, while the closing ceremony featured a flashback to British music with The Who closing the performance.
