A person has died after being “trapped under a train” at a Hounslow underground station.
Severe delays occurred on the Piccadilly Line while emergency services rushed to help a casualty on the tracks at Turnham Green Underground Station, in Chiswick, west London.

Hide AdFirefighters were called to a person trapped under a train at 7.45pm on Monday, March 28.
Paramedics attended but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and will be referred to a coroner.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesperson said: "We were called to Turnham Green Underground station at 7.47pm on March 28 following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Hide Ad“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A London Fire Brigade (LFB) spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a person trapped under a train at Turnham Green underground station.
“We were called at 7.45pm and the incident was over by 8.37pm."

Hide AdA London Ambulance Service (LAS) spokesperson said: “We were called on Monday, March 28 at 7.49pm to reports of an incident at Turnham Green Underground Station, W4.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, a team leader and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance by road. Sadly, a person was pronounced dead at the scene."
