ITV’s Loose Women: Jane Moore announces split from husband Gary Farrow after 20 years of marriage

Jane Moore shocked fans today as she announced live on ITV’s Loose Women that she and husband of 20 years, Gary Farrow are separating.

The Journalist, 60, who lives in London, began the daytime show on Wednesday (7 December) by confirming that she and her husband of 20 years are splitting up.

“Gary and I are separating,” Jane said, with the audience reacting by saying “awwww.”

After thanking them, she continued to explain that it felt weird to be out in the open as the couple have been processing it for about a year.

The TV presenter spoke openly on the show to fellow panellists Coleen Nolan, Frankie Bridge and Kelly Bryan.

Jane explained the separation is all amicable and that the couple plan on spending Christmas together as a family, before then moving on in the New Year.

Jane admitted that the relatively private couple decided last year to separate, but then Gary fell and broke his leg. Jane held up her hands and joked: “I didn’t push him, just want to put that out there”.

"It enabled us to sort of segue to process it first of all, and to sort of segue nicely into a really good friendship,” Jane added.

She said: "It’s weird because I have been sort of caring for him in that sense so it’s enabled us to process and separate into a really good friendship”.

“He is my best friend. I would hope he would say I’m his best friend and I’m very keen we don’t lose that element.”

Jane thanked the Loose Women team for their continued support behind the scenes and because of the nature of the show there is always someone to to talk to.

The Loose Women presenter married Gary in May 2002 and celebrated their 20th anniversary. The couple are parents to three grown up daughters Lauren, Ellie and Grace.

Gary is the owner of PR agency The Corporation Group. Elton John was best man at their wedding, alongside celebrity guests including Johnathan Ross, Barbara Windsor and Frank Skinner.

Jane has been a Loose Women panelist since 1999 she is a regular columinst for The Sun and has authored many fictional books.
