John Wick fans have been left cringing after watching Roman Kemp interview Keanu Reeves ahead of the John Wick: Chapter 4 premiere.

“Who would win in a fight? Would it be John Wick or Joe Wickes?” Roman asked Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves on his Capital Radio breakfast show on Wednesday.

Somewhat confused, Keanu, 58, responded: “Fantastic! I know it’s hard to believe but John Wick doesn’t really wanna fight, so let’s just talk about life and fitness, John Wick hashtag fitness!”

This was just one of many awkward questions Roman, 30, asked the Canadian actor. He followed this by asking if John Wick would know how much a halogen light bulb would cost in the hardware store Wickes and even asked Keanu if he would like to see his impression of him.

Capital UK posted two clips of the interview on Instagram, the first of which contained the on-screen caption “is this the most awkward interview of all time!?”.

Fans took to the comments with mixed responses. While many comments were lighthearted  saying that it was a “genius interview” and “utter cringe,” a number of comments also highlighted a level of unprofessionalism on Roman’s behalf.

One user commented that the interview was “not just awkward but unprofessional. The ‘personalities’ that you employ are embarrassing.”

Another added: “This is shocking. Imagine getting the chance to interview one of the biggest actors in the world right now and you’re told to ask him how much a halogen light bulb is worth.”

However, commenters and fans agreed that Keanu Reeves is “the nicest, most patient man in Hollywood.”

Roman responded to an article by The Independent calling it “Roman Kemp’s ‘most awkward interview of all time’” by posting the article with the caption “Brilliant.”.
