JLS have excited fans by fuelling rumours that they are about to announce a new UK tour. Fans have speculated that the band may be planning a huge comeback after their social media content recently ramped up.

The band consisting of Marvin Humes, 37, Oritsé Williams, 36, JB Gill, 36, and Aston Merrygold, 35, rose to fame after coming runners up on the X-Factor in 2008. The group just lost out to winner Alexandra Burke.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “The boys posting on the JLS account better mean there’s a good announcement coming soon, because I miss them, I miss tour and everything.”

Singers Ashton and JB re-shared the tweet on their Instagram in a video clip that sees the boys raise their eyebrows seemingly to agree with the fan. They captioned the post: "Interesting” whilst a sped up version of the song Everybody in Love plays in the background.

One fan commented on the post: “the waits killing me already… every minute is like an hour, every hour LIKE A DAY.”

Another wrote: “Am I going to have to empty my bank account again.”

A third added: “We need a tour, we need tour !!”

The noughties boy band had hits with Beat Again, Everybody in Love, Eyes Wide Shut, The Club is Alive and One Shot, before splitting in 2013 and reuniting for a UK tour in 2021.

In a second post on the official JLS Instagram account the four singers are seen standing in matching black outfits. Ashton counts them in and sings: “Everybody say…” before stopping as they all look up at the camera as if rehearsals had been interrupted. This has fuelled speculation that their tour will be announced soon.

The band  ‘Jack the Lad Swing’, more commonly referred to as JLS, was formed by Oritsé  in 2004 and originally called UFO (Unique Famous Outrages) but had to drop the name after another band was using it at the time.
