Alexandra Burke: X-Factor winner sparks marriage rumours after thanking ‘hubby’ Darren Randolph in sweet post

Alexandra Burke has left fans wondering if she’s secretly tied the knot with her boyfriend Darren Randolph after gushing about her “hubby” in a sweet Instagram post.

The X-Factor winner, 34, from London, welcomed her first child with her Irish footballer fiancé, 35, in July 2022.

Having decided to keep their baby’s name and gender secret, Alexandra rarely posts snaps of their child on her social media as she wants to “protect the baby and make its own decision.”

She decided to mark her first Mother’s Day on Sunday with a heartwarming Instagram snap, however fans were immediately drawn to the caption penned to accompany the image which referred to Darren as “hubby”.

Alexandra and Darren, who plays for West Ham, share a lavish seven-bedroom home in Hertfordshire. The couple revealed they were expecting their first child together on Valentine’s Day 2022.

The ‘Bad Boys’ singer took to Instagram to mark Mother’s Day with a photo feeding her baby with a bottle as she sat on the sofa surrounded by love heart balloons, as well as a snap alongside her mother who passed away in 2017.

Alexandra captioned the post, writing: “My first Mother’s Day as your mama… 🥹 Feeling very blessed. Can’t thank the hubby enough for making me feel so special and loved.

“My little baby Grape - thank you for making me a better person. For making me the best version of myself and showing up in ways I thought I never could… I am so lucky to be your mum. 🤍”

Speaking about her mother, Alexandra added: “To my mummy. Happy heavenly Mother’s Day. I’m thinking of you always and I hope I’m making you proud. I wish you were here to see this bundle of joy who is helping to heal my heart everyday. 🤍🕊️”

The post racked up almost 9,000 likes and a stream of comments with some of her 268,000 followers speculating that she and Darren have secretly married.

In a now deleted comment, one person wrote: “OMG does this mean that you’ve secretly got married? If so massive congrats. You are the best mum”

Another said: “hubby!!! Please tell me we didn’t miss out on the wedding”

Alexandra and Darren haven’t responded to the speculation from fans that they may have married in secret.

The couple have been romantically linked since Alexandra split from footballer Angus MacDonald in October 2020.

Darren previously dated Rochelle Humes, before The Saturdays star married singer Marvin Humes in 2012.
