Motorcyclist in ‘critical condition’ after collision in Crystal Palace

A motorcyclist in his 20s is in critical condition after a collision with a car in Crystal Palace.

Police and paramedics were called to Crystal Palace Parade just after 7.40pm on Friday, April 8.

A car and a motorcycle were in collision at the junction with College Road, on the border with Crystal Palace Park., and the rider of the motorcycle had suffered serious injuries.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and the rider of the motorcycle, a man believed to be aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

“He remains there in a critical condition.”

Police confirmed the driver of the car stopped at the scene and no arrests had been made.

While enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.

As of Saturday, April 9, at 9am, the road was still closed by a police cordon.
