Watch: Jellycat fans queue down the street as exclusive new plushie lands at Liberty
There are four designs of the Liberty Barts bear, which have been limited to one per customer.
Jellycat fans have turned out in their droves today, as a new plushie launches at Liberty.
Pictures and video from Regent Street show Jellycat enthusiasts queuing down the street to enter the luxury department store.
Thankfully, it appears much of the queue is formed under the shade, as temperatures hit the high 20s in London today (these Jellycat fans are devoted.)
The ‘world-exclusive’ plushie landed in the store this morning. It is a very cute limited edition version of the popular Bartholomew Bear, boasting a bespoke Liberty print bowtie.
There are reportedly four designs of the exclusive bears, which are priced at £40 each.
The toy, which fans are calling Liberty Barts, is an exclusive collaboration between Jellycat London and the prestigious store.
Liberty said: “As we’re expecting a high volume of visitors, a queuing system will be in place via our Kingly Syreet entrance. Due to their popularity, purchases will be limited to one of each design per customer. Please note, we are unable to accept telephone orders and cannot reserve bears in advance.”
Many fans showed up as early as 8am this morning to get their hands on one of the limited edition bears.
You cannot access the Jellycats through the main store and those hoping to get their hands on a bear will need to join the winding queue.
