Fuel price rises: Where can I get cheapest petrol and diesel near me in London?

London fuel costs have hit record highs following petrol shortages, which saw pumps run empty.

Petrol prices have rocketed in recent weeks with drivers, families and businesses paying out 142.94p per litre on average on Sunday, October 24.

The hikes have been prompted by rising global oil costs, which have more than doubled in the past few weeks as the aftermath of the pandemic sparked a boost in demand for fuel.

An RAC spokesman described the costs as “truly a dark day for drivers”.

It comes as Chancellor Rishi Sunak prepares to announce a budget today (Wednesday, October 27) which has already been criticised for failing to do enough to tackle the cost of living crisis - amid a cut to Universal Credit, and increasing inflation.
