Donald Trump state visit UK: When will the US President arrive in London?
US President Donald Trump will visit the UK for an unprecedented second state visit.
Donald Trump will make history this week as the first-ever US President to make a second official state visit to the UK.

The historic second state visit will involve a ceremonial welcome and a state banquet hosted by King Charles III.
The US president and the first lady, Melania, are due to arrive at Windsor Castle’s private estate tonight (Tuesday, 16th September). Reports suggest the US President will arrive at 8.30pm in the UK.
The President and First Lady are expected to touchdown at London Stansted Airport this evening. They will then travel directly to Windsor Castle.

Tomorrow, they will receive an official welcome from the Prince and Princess of Wales, before being welcomed by the King and Queen for an official state banquet at Windsor Castle, which has space for 160 guests.
On Thursday, Donald and Melania will visit Keir Starmer’s country home in Buckinghamshire, where they will spend some time with the Prime Minister and his wife.
Anti-Trump activists are less than happy about the President’s state visit, and a demonstration from the Stop Trump Coalition is set to take place on Windsor High Street this evening.

This will be followed by a march through central London on Wednesday (17th September), concluding with a mass rally in Parliament Square.
It has been reported that armed officers will patrol the streets of Windsor over the next few days as the UK prepares to welcome Donald Trump for a state visit.
In the capital, a royal salute will be fired from the Tower of London.
It is not tradition for US presidents serving two terms to receive an invitation for a second state visit. Instead, they are usually invited for tea or lunch with the monarch, as was the case with Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
