Tyrese Miller: Three men arrested over Mitcham murder

Three men have been arrested after a man was shot dead in south London.

Tyrese Miller, 22, was found by police in Croydon Road near the junction with Beddington Lane, Mitcham on Tuesday April 4.

He was taken to hospital where he died later from his injuries.

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death to have been a gunshot wound to the chest.

The three men aged 18, 20 and 19 – were arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday April 26 and remain in custody.

A fourth man, aged 20, was arrested later on Wednesday. He also remains in custody.

Enquiries into the murder remain ongoing.

Det Ch Insp Wayne Jolley who leads the investigation said: “These arrests demonstrate the progress our investigation is making as we work towards finding those who attacked and killed Tyrese and ensuring they face justice.

However, I would continue to appeal to anyone who has information that could help this investigation to get in contact.

“I am still keen to hear from anyone who was in the Croydon Road area of Mitcham in the early hours of Tuesday April 4 to contact us, especially anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage.

“You may hold something that could assist our work.”
