Thornton Heath: Man charged with murder after man, 62, found dead on Christmas Eve

A man has been charged with murder after a 62-year-old man was found dead in south London on Christmas Eve.

Paul Campbell, 43, of Dunheved Road West, Thornton Heath was arrested on Wednesday, January 11 on suspicion of murder and was held in custody.

He is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service at approximately 11:00am on Saturday December 24 to reports of a man deceased at an address in Dunheved Road West, Thornton Heath.

Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and found the 62-year-old man dead at the scene.

Following forensic enquiries a murder investigation was launched.

His next of kin have been informed and formal identification awaits.

Scotland Yard said the defendant and the victim were known to each other.
