Camilo Palacio: Police arrest eight people over Wood Green shooting - including in Margate and at City Airport

Police have arrested eight people in connection with the murder of a man in Wood Green.
Camilo Palacio, 23, from Enfield, was killed in a shooting on Wood Green High Road, Haringey, on 24 July.

Despite receiving emergency aid he was pronounced dead at the scene at around 10pm.
On Sunday July 31, police arrested two men – aged 27 and 64 – on suspicion of murder. A 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.


On the same day, police arrested a 16-year-old male on suspicion of murder at a home in Hornsey.
All four remain in custody at a north London police station.

Also on Sunday, officers from Kent stopped a car in Margate. Two men – aged 30 and 24 – were arrested on suspicion of murder.
A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They remain in custody at a police station in Kent and will be transferred to London.
On Monday, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at City Airport. He has been taken to a police station where he remains in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Perry Benton called the killing “tragic”, while Haringey Council leader said the borough was “horrified” to lose “another young member of our community”.
