Plaistow stabbing: Man charged after 12-year-old boy knifed in east London

A man has been charged after a 12-year-old boy was stabbed in Plaistow.
Okan Boran, 35, of Hackney, was charged today (Thursday September 1) with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place.

Hide AdHe will later appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
Met Police officers rushed to Brooks Road, Newham, at 8.17pm on Tuesday after reports of a stabbing.
A boy, aged 12, was found with a stab injury, and treated at the scene.
He was then taken to hospital; where his condition was found not to be life-threatening.
A second man, aged in his 60s, was bailed until a date in late September pending further enquiries.
