By this point the person had made off and Thomas decided to walk home before he took himself to hospital.
The small business owner says he believes he was stabbed and the Metropolitan Police are probing the November 5 incident.
Thomas said: "As I walked round a bend, someone in dark clothing bumped into me.

"It was kind of a crazy incident - they were so well concealed, I still don’t know if it was a man or woman.
"Once they’d bumped into me, they ran away. I was completely oblivious to what happened."
Thomas went to the Princess Royal University Hospital in nearby Orpington for treatment.

He added: "I’m making a recovery, it’s a bit like having a sore stomach.
“I’ve got these sterile strips on the wound."
A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 8.38pm on Saturday, November 5, to Queensmead Recreation Ground, Bromley, after a man suffered a laceration injury to his stomach."
"He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
“[There are] no arrests at this time. Enquiries continue."
