Hornchurch stabbing: Phillip Kemps, 29, charged with attempted murder over knife attack outside Havering pub

A 23-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the pub garden of the Fatling, in Hornchurch, at around midnight on Saturday.

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a drinker was stabbed multiple times in a Hornchurch pub garden.

He was remanded in custody and will appear next on August 22 at a court to be determined.

Kemps was charged after a 23-year-old man, drinking at the Fatling Pub, High Street, Hornchurch, was stabbed multiple times at around midnight on Saturday.

He was found by officers on patrol and rushed to an east London hospital, where his injuries were assessed to be non-life threatening.

The Met Police added: “We are aware that a video of the incident has been shared on social media.

“Following this charge, we would remind the public that nothing should be shared, posted or otherwise published that could risk prejudicing future court proceedings.

“This includes any further sharing of video or images relating to the incident.”
