The teenager, who cannot be named because of her age, was initially arrested on November 3 and bailed while further enquiries were carried out. She will appear in custody at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Officers began an investigation after being called at 11.27pm on October 1 2023 to reports of a stabbing in Kendal Gardens. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, Taye died at the scene.

A post-mortem examination confirmed he died as a result of sharp force trauma to the chest.

Two men have previously been charged with murder as part of the same investigation. They are Josiah James Semper, 18 of Cromie Close, Palmers Green, and Bernard Carroll, 20, of Church Street, Edmonton.

The Met Police says the investigation continues and that anyone with information who has yet come forward is encouraged to contact the investigation team.
