Preda Eugen: Man ‘murdered’ while living in Chingford woodland hut named

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after releasing the name of a man found dead in northeast London woodland.
Emergency services were called at 9.09pm on Wednesday February 15 to reports of an injured man in an area near the North Circular, between Chingford and Walthamstow.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hide AdPolice have named him as 39-year-old Preda Eugene, and the force says officers are continuing to make enquiries to trace his next of kin.
A post-mortem examination held at Poplar Mortuary gave the cause of death as a head injury.
George-Elvis Tobosaru, 22, of no fixed address, and Violeta Ionescu, 21, of no fixed address, were charged on Friday with murder.
Detective Inspector Frank Copley, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Although we've now charged two people in connection with Preda’s murder, I am still keen to hear from anyone who has information about what led up to his death.

Hide Ad“We know that he was living in a hut in the woodland but what happened to cause his death? Did you see him, or anyone else in the area between Saturday, February 11 and the day he was found?
“Any piece of information could be vital in establishing exactly what happened.”
