Mile End Road stabbing: Man charged with attempted murder

The victim was found injured on Mile End Road on April 2.

Police have charged an 18-year-old man in connection with the stabbing of another teenager in east London.

A 19-year-old man was found stabbed on Mile End Road on the afternoon of April 2, with police called to the incident at around 3.10pm.

Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service, and the young man was taken to hospital for treatment.

He remains there in a critical but stable condition.

An 18-year-old man, Mohammed Shohid, of Bow, was arrested on April 5 in connection to the incident. He was charged on April 6 with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

A Met Police spokesperson said the force is continuing to investigate, and is asking anyone with information to call 101 or tweet @MetCC, quoting CAD4001/2Apr.
