Londoners love to get into the festive spirit!

According to a recent survey, more than a quarter of Londoners have already decorated their homes for the festive season.

The study, by luxury outdoor furniture brand White Stores, found that people in Greater London (30%) are the most likely to have decked their halls by mid-November.

We can’t say we’re surprised, given the capital’s reputation for being one of the UK’s most festive cities (although apparently not the most, according to a 2024 ranking).

Other cities where residents are eager to get into the Christmas spirit include Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds, and Newcastle.

The wider UK picture shows over half (51.8%) of Brits begin shopping for their decorations from early November.

But it turns out - most people prefer to wait to actually decorate their homes! Results show that over half put their Christmas decorations up in December (52.9%).
