Apparently London isn't the most festive city in the UK - but we beg to differ

When it comes to celebrating Christmas in the UK, our minds automatically think of London.

We think of Oxford Street’s twinkling lights, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, and the tree in Trafalgar Square.

But apparently the rest of the country doesn’t share our opinion, that London is the most festive place in the UK.

In fact, according to some recent research by London NorthWestern Railway (LNR), London doesn’t even crack the top three.

According to LNR’s official ranking, London is the UK’s fifth most festive city after Edinburgh, Manchester, Bath and Birmingham.

That said this data was collated by AI so there’s probably some room for argument.

Sure Edinburgh is undoubtedly magical during the festive season, from the snow-capped castle to its pretty lights that run down Prince’s Street.

But is it right for Manchester, Bath, and Birmingham to beat the Christmassy capital? We’re not so sure.
