A giant seven storey hotel in Bayswater has come to the market with an asking price of £29.5m as listed on Rightmove.

Most recently operating as Holiday Villa Hotel, the 9-bedroom Leinster Gardens facility offered budget accommodation to travellers in west London.

The 40,000 sq ft freehold property comprises five interconnected buildings.

The hotel is fitted out with a restaurant, bar, private club, meeting rooms and spa facilities, but is closed as Knight Frank seeks a buyer for the property.

Planning permission has been granted for redevelopment into 66 serviced apartments with C1 use, with their respective sizes ranging from 19 sq m to 79 sq m.

Consent has also been granted for the Bayswater property to be converted into 32 separate residential apartments, made up of 17 one beds, four two bed units and 11 three bed premises.

The Bayswater hotel is around a 10-minute walk from Hyde Park, and served by Bayswater, Queensway, Lancaster Gate and Royal Oak Underground stations.

Nearby attractions include Marble Arch, Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Palace, Portobello Road market and Hyde Park.

South Kensington and Knightsbridge luxury shopping districts are on the opposite side of Hyde Park.
