In this video we speak to legendary chef Michel Roux about his new London restaurant.

"I really consider myself as a Londoner. I was brought up here and I just love it. I love the buzz, the atmosphere, the creativity. It's electric."

Michel Roux, the star chef behind the two-Michelin-starred Le Gavroche, is very excited to be launching a new venture in the capital.

Chez Roux opens on May 22 at The Langham hotel, with a menu taking the best from French and English cuisine.

He told LondonWorld: "Chez Roux is opening very soon at Palm Court at The Langham - really exciting. It's a great menu, inspired by my childhood, food that I was brought up on, and the very first menus of Le Gavroche.

"Some of my favourites are the oeufs en gelée, which is a soft poached egg, encased in a beef tea or a beef consommé. That's really a step back in time, but we've also got the Welsh rarebit with some pickled walnut ketchup, roast lobster with garlic butter - things like that.

"The menu is a mixture of great British classics that have got a little French touch to them, and some great French classics, of course, because that's what I was brought up on."
