Spud Bros Express: I visited London's viral jacket potato pop-up and couldn't move after

While I’d assumed the new potato spot would be based in one of the city’s foodie market hotspots like Camden or London Bridge, it's actually set up home in the heart of the West End.
In what was once formerly one of Jamie Oliver’s capital restaurants the Spud Bros Express has brought its TikTok famous potato offerings to London.

Turning the corner onto Archer Street, I had no problem locating the pop-up as there was a queue stretching halfway down the short street full of foodies excited to sample the loaded spuds.
Despite preparing myself for a long wait I was surprised at how quickly the queue actually moved. I don't think I waited outside for longer than 15 minutes in total.
Once inside you soon see why the queue moved so quickly as you get your first look at the streamlined spud assembly line of sorts.

As the potatoes are all cooked and ready to go, staff just add your toppings to your order right in front of you before handing it over.
Having been recommended the Spudfather by a staff member at the door, I couldn't pass it up after seeing someone order one before me.
A fluffy potato topped with rich cheese, chilli con carne and crispy onions, the Spudfather was a popular choice as I was warned they were already running low on the chilli topping.
The secret ingredient that makes Spud Bros’ potatoes stand out is of course their famous tram sauce - a spicy creamy blend that takes it to the next level.

There’s just something comforting about a good o’l jacket potato and of course, Spud Bros’ offering didn't disappoint.
While there is no seating at the pop-up, Soho Square which does have a few benches is not too far of a walk.
I opted to take it home to enjoy and by then it was definitely worth the wait as all the toppings had melted together.
