Londoners won’t need to travel to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest as the capital will host an array of celebrations next month. 

The annual German festival that is now celebrated across the world honours Bavarian culture famous for beers and foods including the bratwurst.

In the capital there are several well known venues and greenspaces that are set to be transformed into authentic Bavarian style beer halls for city locals to enjoy. 

We’ve compiled a list of some of the biggest Oktoberfest events in London to head to next month. 

Electric Brixton

The Brixton based music venue is set to welcome 2,000 merrymakers this October as it morphes into a beer hall complete with traditional wooden tables and festive bunting. The upcoming festivities will mark the second year of the event at the venue after it made its debut there in 2023.

Electric Ballroom

The Camden venue is another capital spot hosting Oktoberfest celebrations next month. Offering Bavarian Bratwurst, Currywurst & Schnitzel there will also be live music.

When: September 28 - October 26

St Paul’s Green 

One of the biggest Oktoberfests in the capital will take over Hammersmith’s St Paul’s Green and will give all the authentic Oktoberfest tent vibes from London.

When: October 17 to October 19

Nearest station: Hammersmith

Walpole Park

The same Oktoberfest celebrations will also move to Ealing in late October when they pop up at the area’s Walpole Park. Just like the Hammersmith event there will be plenty of German food and beer on tap.

Between The Bridges 

Having welcomed Londoners across the summer, the south bank based outdoor venue is also set to host its own Oktoberfest extravaganza as a German Beer Hall style space opens by the river.

Market Halls

Right by one of the city’s most famous road’s - Oxford Street, Market Halls will also have its own authentic Bavarian themed event.

When: October 12 or October 19

Nearest station: Oxford Circus

Neverland

The cocktail bar right by the river is another London spot gearing up for Oktoberfest. As explained on the venue’s website Londoners can expect a “Bavarian-style fancy dress party with a line up of oompah bands, table dancing, live music and delicious street food.”

When: September 29 to October 7

Clapham Common 

A five-day Bavarian extravaganza will takeover Clapham Common next month for Oktoberfest. Attendees can look forward to an authentic Bavarian experience, complete with traditional food, drink, and entertainment.

When: October 11 to October 19
