Michelin-star winning chef Simon Rogan is launching a special five course “sustainable” menu on Uber Eats later this month.

Rogan, who is behind L’Enclume, one of the UK’s handful of triple Michelin star restaurants, and chef’s table Michelin star restaurant Aulis in Soho has been credited with transforming the UK food scene with his farm to fork approach to cooking.

The celebrated chef has now teamed up with Uber to create Uber Eats’ most sustainable menu yet.

The menu has been developed solely using ingredients grown on Rogan’s farm, ‘Our Farm’, in the Cartmel Valley in the Lake District and the surrounding area, alongside meat, fish and dairy sourced from local suppliers

The exclusive menu consists of five courses, with snacks consisting of a Park House Pudding glazed in birch sap, a Chicken Offal Doughnut, and Diana Radishes with Lovage Emulsion.

There’s also a salad containing 51 ingredients which includes bay shrimp custard with Morecambe Bay shrimp.

The main course is a  Heritage Breed Beef short rib from Lake District Farmers served with fermented cabbage, chanterelles and an indulgent beef sauce featuring ramson stems (wild garlic), pickled tapioca and ramson oil.

The dessert will consist of Aynsome sweet herbs, strawberry juice, compressed strawberries, marigold and cake and to finish; petit fours of pinecone flavoured chocolate and currant jelly with geranium sugar.

Rogan and his team will cook the menu in London on Wednesday September 18 and Thursday September 19. The five-course menu will cost £80 with wine pairings available for £30.

Speaking about the menu Rogan said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with Uber Eats to shine a light on some of the very best produce we’re able to grow and source in this country, most of which I’m proud my team and I have produced on our very own Lake District farm.

“My cooking philosophy has always been influenced by the natural environment, while sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do. Uber Eats have truly gone above and beyond to match this ethos with this project.”

Rogan’s menu is the latest iteration of the delivery platform’s Hosts series. Earlier this year Brooklyn Beckham hosted a similar two-day pop up takeaway menu.
