Great British Menu 2024 winner Kirk Haworth new Shoreditch Plates restaurant bookings open

London chef Kirk Haworth has announced the reopening in a new location of his restaurant Plates.

Reservations go live today for the new Plates restaurant, run by Great British Menu 2024 winner Kirk Haworth.

The chef, along with sister Keeley, runs the business which was previously in Shoreditch and then Dalston but now has a permanent home in back in Shoreditch.

Plates will open in Old Street in July, and bookings go live at 6pm on Wednesday evening (April 3).

In a newsletter, the pair wrote: “We’re thrilled and so excited to finally share with you that we will be opening our restaurant doors this July! It’s finally here; our new permanent home. Our address is 320 Old Street, Shoreditch, London.

“We appreciate this has been a long wait, so thank you for your patience!”

Work is under way at the 25-seater restaurant and outdoor dining terrace.

“Emma Shone-Sanders of Design & That leading on the project, we’re in the best hands to create an environment that's aligned to our vision and is both a place that's harmonious and exciting to be in,” they wrote.

Kirk came out top overall for series 19 of Great British Menu after winning the champion of champions title. The final episode of the chef competition saw the finalists in Paris as they put on an Olympic-themed banquet for Team GB.

Reservations for between July 3 to October 6 will be available to book from 6pm this evening via the Plates website.
