With summer finally here and Londoners looking for a cold beverage to escape the sun, one of the capital’s trendiest areas has plenty of places to seek shelter or stay in the sun while sipping on a pint.
Crystal Palace was named the "best place to live in London" for 2022 by the Sunday Times, and its growing reputation may have something to do with the large selection of pubs in a small area.
From independent boozers to sports bars, the "triangle" high street in South East London is littered with places to drink.

Those travelling to Crystal Palace by train will be struck by a grand pub on the corner of the high street. Westow House boasts a decent beer garden to the front - an appealing place to take the weight off and sip on a cold one. (Photo Jack Abela)
2. The Alma
The Alma is well known for its food - and Sunday roasts in particular. However, this pub, too, has a beer garden. Slightly posher than the average boozer, this pub is a little more upmarket than the standard ones along the Triangle. (Photo Jack Abela)

Directly opposite The Alma is the White Hart. While its outdoor seating is limited, there are benches outside the front and a smaller space out the back. (Photo Jack Abela)
4. The Sparrowhawk
For sports fans hoping to catch some international matches or even watch England take on Australia, then The Sparrowhawk is the place to be. With TV screens on almost every wall, The Sparrowhawk was tailor-made for sports fans. (Photo Jack Abela)
