With summer finally here and Londoners looking for a cold beverage to escape the sun, one of the capital’s trendiest areas has plenty of places to seek shelter or stay in the sun while sipping on a pint.
Crystal Palace was named the "best place to live in London" for 2022 by the Sunday Times, and its growing reputation may have something to do with the large selection of pubs in a small area.
From independent boozers to sports bars, the "triangle" high street in South East London is littered with places to drink.

7. The Sourcing Table
More sophisticated drinkers might opt for a change of scenery. The Sourcing Table is a wine bar with more bottles to choose from than pubs in Crystal Palace. For customers looking to catch the sun, The Sourcing Table has a few seats outside, at the front of the bar, but mainly seats people indoors. (Photo Jack Abela) | Jack Abela

Despite the choice of posher pubs, one old-fashioned Inn stands proud in the centre of Crystal Palace. The Royal Albert is a home for those looking to spend their time at a more traditional pub, although there is no apparent outdoor area for anyone looking to stay in the sun.
