The iconic red Coca-Cola truck is synonymous with Christmas.

It has been reported that this year’s tour could feature as many 40 locations throughout the UK.

The Covid-19 pandemic meant the Coca-Cola Christmas truck 2020 UK tour had to be cancelled but with the festive period just around the corner, people all over London and further afield will be hoping to catch a glimpse of the festive lorry in 2021.

In 2019 the Coca-Cola Christmas truck arrived in London where it spent nine days wowing the public at various Asda and Sainsbury’s stores before ending the tour at the O2 Arena.

What is the Coca-Cola Christmas lorry tour?

The tour started in 2010 and travels south from Scotland stopping at cities such as Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds and Bristol before reaching its final destination, London, four weeks later.

The last year the tour was on was in 2019 and Coca-Cola donated 10 pence to charity for every can placed in their recycle bins throughout the tour.

What’s the attraction with the Coca-Cola Christmas truck?

In 2019, those attending received 150ml drinks of Coca‑Cola zero.

When the truck stopped at an Asda and Sainsburys stores, people were able to visit the truck and purchase four 250ml glass bottles of Coca-Cola personalised with their name.

Will the Coca-Cola Christmas truck be coming to London in 2021?

This is all but confirmed.

Coca-Cola has kept the details under wraps but in recent days it teased people on social media asking about the 2021 UK tour.

One woman contacted Coca-Cola directly over Twitter.

@CocaCola_GB it’s about time you released the Christmas Coke truck dates ifs it’s touring this year… how do you expect people to work it into their schedules if they don’t know when and where it’s coming…,” said the woman.

Coca-Cola replied: “Hey Kerri - it shouldn’t be long now.”

An official announcement is expected within the next few days.
