World famous pop star Billie Eilish is coming to London, but for a different reason other than singing her chart topping songs.

Despite the singer coming to London as part of her ‘Happier Than Ever’ tour, she is set to host a climate event in the capital.

The Happier Than ever singer is set to perform her music live at the O2 Arena in June across three consecutive days.

What is the Overheated event?

The event, which is spread across six days in June being the 10, 11, 12, 16, 25 and 26 June is a climate focused event.

The event, named Overheated, will bring together climate activists, musicians and designers who will discuss the climate crisis, and the efforts they’re making to make a difference.

The topics will range from practices to make the music industry more green, discuss the benefits of a plant based diet, and different ways to have more sustainable fashion.

Each day, there will be unique programming that will feature panel discussions, live performances, a documentary viewing and opportunities for the public to take climate action and leave less of a carbon footprint.

The panel will not only discuss climate change, but offer solutions and ideas that can help to make a difference, and make the point that no one can ever be the perfect activist.

The discussion will be hosted by Abbie McCarthy and featured other climate activisists including Jack Harries and Maggie Baird. They will share their thoughts on a wide variety of climate based topics including plant based diets of more sustainable fashion choices.

The event is taking place at the iconic O2 Arena in London, and will begin on Friday, 10 June with ‘Overheated Live’ which is a panel event taking place at the Indigo inside The O2, featuring introductions from Eilish herself and a special keynote speaker, which is to be announced in due course.

Tickets for the event will go on a presale before being made available to the general public.

The presale for the event is a Live Nation presale that will go live on Thursday, 5 May at 9am and ending on Friday, 6 May at 8am.

Then the tickets will go on general sale on Ticketmaster, and will be priced at £40 for the first Overheated Live panel session or £65 for both sessions. These tickets are set to go on sale Friday, 6 May at 9am.

Presale tickets are also available to fans who opted in when purchasing Eilish’s album, ‘Happier Than Ever’.

Who is Billie Eilish?

Billie Eilish is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter from America, who has enjoyed a great rise to fame despite her young age.

She first gained public recognition when she was 14 years old, due to the release of her first song ‘ocean eyes’.

Despite being just 20, Eilish already has seven Grammy Awards to her name, and her first studio album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and also the UK albums chart. It was one of the best selling albums of 2019, featuring her number one single ‘Bad Guy’ which was remixed by her childhood idol, Justin Bieber.

In 2020, she co wrote and performed the theme song to the James Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’, which also topped the UK singles chart and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2022.

Her second studio album, Happier Than Ever, reached number one in 25 countries upon release.
