Hot stuff Tom Hardy is perhaps one of London’s most famous actors.
The star, who is known for his roles in Peaky Blinders, the Biker Riders, and most recently Venom, was born and raised in southwest London.

Hide AdHe was born in Hammersmith and grew up as an only child in East Sheen.
Born Edward Thomas Hardy, the now 47-year-old studied acting at the Drama Centre in London.
He has gone on to play many major roles through the course of his impressive career, many of which have seen him come home to London.
Hardy starred in the hit film Legend in which he portrayed both of the Kray twins during their reign in London.

Hide AdNaturally, the actor has a strong affinity to the capital, and in an interview with Esquire last night, he revealed the thing he loves most.


The Bike Riders actor told Esquire: “One of my favourite things about London is that it’s an open city, where you can be both anonymous and connected at the same time,” he continues.
“You can belong in your own way. I believe something like 300 languages are spoken in London, so there’s a melting pot of individuals who come and live here.
“Yet, for all the dichotomies, idiosyncrasies, and differences that make up London’s big city life, there’s an inherent connection between Londoners that’s both profound and, I think, quite beautiful.”
