I'm an SEO and Trends writer for National World and create content for publications across the UK including The Sheffield Star, Yorkshire Evening Post and Edinburgh Evening News. I produce a mixture of national and regional content but my areas of expertise are news, entertainment, lifestyle, and health. I was born and raised in Malaysia, where I worked as a political journalist for 11 years before relocating to the United Kingdom in 2018. I covered a wide range of topics, including politics, culture, human rights, and social issues. I graduated from the University of South Australia with a journalism degree in 2007, and began my career as a rookie reporter the following year. During my time in Malaysia, I contributed to several international news organisations, including TRT World and Channel News Asia as a field producer in addition to my full time role as a journalist. In 2013, I also co-produced a short documentary called 'A Stray Hero,' which won an independent film award and was nominated for a few others. As a mother of one, I'm passionate about staying fit (sort of, since I enjoy cooking and eating) and enjoy running. I've run a few half-marathons over the years and my ultimate goal is to run a full marathon. I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music, particularly punk and rock, with AFI, Alkaline Trio, and Rise Against topping my playlist. I am fluent in Malay and English and I am currently taking Mandarin lessons to broaden my horizons.
