Wandsworth house prices dropped slightly in November
House prices dropped slightly, by 0.9%, in Wandsworth in November, new figures show.
The drop contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area suffer a 2.1% annual decline.

Over the month, the picture was different to that across London, where prices decreased 2.2%, but Wandsworth was lower than the 0.8% drop for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Wandsworth fell by £13,000 – putting the area 14th among London’s 33 local authorities with price data for annual growth.
The highest annual growth in the region was in Richmond, where property prices increased on average by 4.2%, to £778,000. At the other end of the scale, properties in City of London lost 27.7% of their value, giving an average price of £727,000.

First-time buyers in Wandsworth spent an average of £537,000 on their property – £12,000 less than a year ago, but £22,000 more than in November 2018.
By comparison, former owner-occupiers paid £742,000 on average in November – 38.1% more than first-time buyers.
