But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that both of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week:

M25, from 10pm April 11 to 5am April 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 anti-clockwise, junction 27 to junction 26, Lane closure for major tops survey on ERA Bays.

M25, from 10pm April 24 to 5am April 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 26 to junction 27, Lane closures for repair of signals.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
