New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Waltham Forest’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Chic N Chip, at 197 Lea Bridge Road, Leyton was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 2.

And Panku Streetfood at Asda, at 1 Leyton Mills, Marshall Road, Leyton was given a score of one on April 24.

It means that of Waltham Forest's 250 takeaways with ratings, 84 (34%) have ratings of five and 13 (5%) have zero ratings.
