New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Waltham Forest’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Yildirim Bakery, at 15 St James Street, Walthamstow was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 2.

And Grill n Spice, at 469 Lea Bridge Road, Leyton was given a score of one on February 2.

It means that of Waltham Forest's 250 takeaways with ratings, 79 (32%) have ratings of five and 16 (6%) have zero ratings.
