New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Waltham Forest’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Etles Uyghur Restaurant, at 235 Hoe Street, Walthamstow was handed a one-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 19.

And Wow Smoothies, at 249 Hoe Street, Walthamstow was given a score of zero on December 19.

It means that of Waltham Forest's 566 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 253 (45%) have ratings of five and 34 (6%) have zero ratings.
