New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Waltham Forest’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Al Haq, at 65 Queens Road, Walthamstow was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 13.

And Mama’s Chicken, at 220 High Road Leyton, Leyton was given a score of one on November 13.

It means that of Waltham Forest's 557 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 250 (45%) have ratings of five and 31 (6%) have zero ratings.
