New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Waltham Forest’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Hilly Cafe, at 311 Higham Hill Road, Walthamstow was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 27.

And Home Made Community Cafe, at Higham Hill Hub Higham Hill Park, Hecham Close, Walthamstow was given a score of one on February 27.

It means that of Waltham Forest's 543 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 246 (45%) have ratings of five and 26 have zero ratings.
