New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Waltham Forest’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s bad news for them both.

Junglees Burgers Leyton, at 812 High Road Leyton, Leyton was handed a zero-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 30.

And Orient Lounge, at 389 High Road, Leyton was also given a score of zero on December 30.

It means that of Waltham Forest's 568 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 255 (45%) have ratings of five and 36 (6%) have zero ratings.
