New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Yard Sale Pizza, at 184 Hackney Road, London was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 23.

And Sushi N Sashimi Restaurant, Sushi City, The Origin Thai, at 219 Whitechapel Road, London was given a score of four on June 21.

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 1,012 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 692 (68%) have ratings of five and just five have zero ratings.
