New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Flat Iron, at 88-90 Commercial Street, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 14.

And Baraka Eatery, at Retail Unit, 38-40 Whitechapel Road, London was given a score of one on March 14.

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 1,049 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 737 (70%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
