New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Fast Food, at 129 Leman Street, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 12.

And Shawarma Brick Lane, at Ground Floor, 84 Brick Lane, London was given a score of three on January 12.

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 1,057 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 736 (70%) have ratings of five and just six have zero ratings.
