New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Original Perfect, at 9 The Quarterdeck, London was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on September 4.

And Whitechapel Spice, at 4 Court Street, London was given a score of one on September 4.

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 1,025 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 694 (68%) have ratings of five and just six have zero ratings.
