New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Carmen's Family Coffee House, at 12 Market Square, London was handed a one-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 13.

And Av grill, at 25 Aberfeldy Street, London was also given a score of one on April 12.

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 1,033 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 719 (70%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
