New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Beithak, at 133 Whitechapel Road, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 7.

And Club Coffee, at 199a Whitechapel Road, London was given a score of one on February 7.

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 1,022 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 729 (71%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
