New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to three of Tower Hamlets’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

• Rated 5: Desi Lounge at 464 Bethnal Green Road, London; rated on January 24

• Rated 4: Burger King at 90 Whitechapel High Street, London; rated on January 15

• Rated 1: Gourmet Sushi at 36 Goulston Street, London; rated on January 15

It means that of Tower Hamlets's 1,058 similar establishments with ratings, 736 (70%) have ratings of five and just six have zero ratings.
